7th April 2022: TPO Welcomes OPITO Senior Management Team
TPO were delighted to welcome Mr. Alex Spencer and Mr. Richard Roberts from OPITO to formally recognise TPO as an Approved Centre for OPITO Qualifications.
With operation hubs in four regions - UK and Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and the Americas, OPITO is the global, not-for-profit, skills body for the energy industry. More than 375,000 people are trained to OPITO Standards every year in more than 50 countries.
With a focus similar to our own at TPO, OPITO is driving safety and competency improvements to benefit the industry. The industry-owned organisation works with governments, national oil companies, operators and contractors, offering a range of services and products to meet international skills needs and support workforce development.
This important milestone for TPO provides further external recognition of TPO’s growth and progression, as we continue to cement our presence in Oman as a leading centre of training excellence for technicians for the energy industry.
Currently, TPO has trainees registered for the OPITO Level 3 Training Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument Maintenance as well as Process Operations. Assessments for this qualification are currently being carried out on our 4 live plant facilities here at TPO, Muscat, Oman.
