TPO makes key strides towards construction completion

Work is nearing completion on the TPO centre, with civil works expected to be completed by the end of October 2017. Over 30 weeks’ worth of construction works have been completed and we recently uploaded a video with more information on progress to our YouTube page.

You can also view a visual walkthrough of the centre, showing our classrooms, workshops and technical training plans here. For more information on TPO visit our About TPO page.

We recently invited His Excellency Salim Al Aufi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Gas and Her Excellency Dr Mona Al Jardani, Undersecretary of Ministry of Manpower of Technological Education and Vocational Training, to meet with our colleagues and to see the centre’s progress for themselves.

In addition, a press conference was held to announce to the Oman market how TPO will bring to market valuable investments in technical training that will enable the energy and utilities sectors to accelerate the rate by which they train and employ Oman’s next generation of technical engineering professionals.

As the centre nears completion, the curriculum development team are currently developing all technical material needed to support the National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) suite of awards, from NVQ 1-3.
